FlyGolf was born from a passion for the game of golf.

It was born to help golfers find their inner champion. It was born to dissolve the barriers of frustration and expand on the element of fun to be enjoyed in the sport. It is a return to the basics, enhanced by the phenomenal technology available on the market today.

FlyGolf uses Trackman 4, the latest technology trusted by the major stakeholders of the game, including hundreds of tour players. This state of the art equipment uses dual radar to track each and every one of the critical club movements and ball data for each swing. One ultra-high frequency radar tracks the golf club before, during, and after impact. The second radar tracks the details of the flight of the golf ball from its launch to its landing. Unlike single radar technology, Trackman 4 can capture the moment of impact precisely where the quality of data lies.

From drivers and fairways to irons and wedges, Trackman 4 captures and translates all of the needed golf ball data: speed, launch angle, spin rate, smash factor, carry distance, and the golf club data: club head speed, dynamic loft, attack angle, club path and face angle at impact. The newest addition to the Trackman series now also includes the most important data on putting: tempo, launch angle, direction, spin, speed, total break and the skid of the golf ball.

Having fit and built clubs for existing and future tour professionals, other PGA professionals, high-profile sports figures, celebrities, and avid players, Daryl carries a unique perspective and expertise in the industry.

Experience & Expertise

Starting nearly three decades ago, Daryl’s experience within the golf industry roots back to Alberta, Canada. Daryl was always an avid player, but became a serious golfer when he moved away from the cold and joined the San Diego Golf Academy. Throughout the years, Daryl enhanced his experience and expertise with SDGA, Zevo Golf, and TaylorMade.

Daryl's Background & Journey to FlyGolf

1992

San Diego Golf Academy

Escaping from Canada’s cold winters, Daryl headed south for San Diego, California where he earned a degree from San Diego Golf Academy. Daryl was concurrently certified by Henry-Griffitts, one of the original and leading club education and fitting companies located in the U.S. After receiving his certification, the Academy invited Daryl to join its faculty.

The curriculum he taught included golf club fitting, club repair, clinic and tournament planning, methods of teaching, and more. Daryl lead the Academy’s International students on golf subjects, fitting, and teaching. Daryl taught students both in the classroom and on the course and range.

1996

Zevo Golf

In 1996, Daryl was recruited to join then start-up Zevo Golf, a Temecula, CA based company that became recognized throughout the industry for its achievements in the research and design of progressive golf clubs. Daryl ultimately headed Zevo’s Tour Department, where he fit and built clubs for professionals on the PGA, LPGA, and Senior Tours.

2000

TaylorMade

After several years, Daryl joined TaylorMade Golf in Carlsbad, CA, known as the “Silicon Valley of the golf industry.” Taylormade significantly advanced the game for golf professionals and enthusiasts, setting the highest club fitting standards in the industry.

Daryl played an essential role with developing its club fitting business, eventually becoming the master golf club fitter within several months. Alongside growing the club fitting department, Daryl managed relations with Staff Players (club pros) throughout the United States.

2005

The Kingdom @ TaylorMade

After several years of managing relations with Staff Players, Daryl returned to his home base with the opening of Taylormade’s exclusive and famed club fitting and building facility,“The Kingdom.” In addition to providing his experience and expertise, Daryl helped form and support the founding principles of TaylorMade’s custom fitting department.

2015

California to Arizona

Daryl’s passion and love for golf led him to Arizona. There, he found himself wanting to share his talent and experience outside the corporate setting. Thus, Flygolf was born!

2019

FlyGolf

For months, Daryl envisioned a mobile operation and in January of 2019, he decided to launch and open his own exclusive mobile fitting and building van – FlyGolf. Since conception to servicing FlyGolf’s first customers, Daryl has helped his clients make measurable improvements in each player’s game.
